Your personal data is never sold. We share it only with infrastructure providers, payment processors, AI/SMS processors, or when required by law.

You stay in control

You can disable SMS, manage AI usage, and request access, export, or deletion of your account data.

1. Overview

PayPing ("we," "our," or "us") provides recurring payment management tools, including our website, web app, APIs, and Chrome Extension (collectively, the "Service"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your available choices.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: Name, email address, and login credentials.
  • Recurring payment data: Subscription, utility, and credit-card bill details (names, amounts, cadence, and due/renewal dates).
  • Optional phone number: Number used to send SMS reminders and SMS test confirmations.
  • Family/bill split data: Member names and split amounts you configure.
  • Support requests: Messages and data you send to support.

2.2 AI chat and credit data

  • AI prompts and outputs: Messages you submit to AI chat and generated responses.
  • Usage records: AI credits available, consumed, and purchased in your account.

2.3 Payment information

We use third-party processors (such as Stripe) for paid features, including Pro purchases and AI credit packs. We do not store full card numbers.

2.4 Chrome Extension data

  • Connect code: A one-time pairing code generated in your account.
  • Extension token: A token stored in your browser to keep the extension connected.
  • Detection inputs: Data from the active tab is processed only when you trigger page detection.

2.5 Automatically collected information

  • Usage logs: Feature usage, timestamps, and app navigation events.
  • Device/log data: IP address, browser type, device metadata, and error logs.
  • Cookies/local storage: Authentication, session continuity, and preferences.

3. How we use information

We use data to:

  • Provide and improve PayPing features across subscriptions, utility bills, and card due reminders.
  • Send reminder notifications (email and optional SMS), including an SMS test confirmation after SMS is enabled.
  • Process AI chat requests and enforce AI credit limits and grants.
  • Process payments and reconcile purchases of Pro access and AI credit packs.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues.
  • Respond to support requests and product communication needs.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share information only as required to run the Service:

  • Infrastructure providers: Hosting, storage, and error-monitoring vendors.
  • Payment processors: Stripe and related providers for secure checkout and payment reconciliation.
  • Messaging providers: SMS providers (for example, Textbelt) to deliver optional text reminders and test messages.
  • AI providers: AI model providers to process prompts and generate responses.
  • Legal requirements: Authorities when required by law or valid legal process.
  • Business transfers: In connection with merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

5. SMS notifications

SMS reminders are optional. When you add a phone number and enable SMS, PayPing may send a confirmation/test text so you can verify delivery.

  • Message frequency depends on your upcoming reminders and settings.
  • Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
  • You can disable SMS at any time from account settings.

6. AI features and credits

AI chat uses your account context to generate suggestions and action plans. We process AI prompts/outputs and maintain credit usage records to operate this feature.

If you purchase additional AI credits, we store transaction metadata (for example, purchase type, checkout IDs, and quantity) for fulfillment, auditing, and fraud prevention.

7. Data retention

We retain account and recurring payment data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited records (including purchase records and system logs) for legal, accounting, and security purposes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure.

9. Your rights and choices

  • Access, correct, export, or delete your account data.
  • Disable SMS notifications and remove your phone number.
  • Control cookies through browser settings.
  • Opt out of marketing emails (service/transactional emails may still be sent).

10. Children's privacy

PayPing is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
